This morning I heard little voices saying, “Run and hide!” I opened my eyes to see three “presents” wrapped in blankets…three little munchkins came in and said, “Merry Christmas!” Emma then proceeded to hand out the gifts, one for Kylie (the girl’s pillows wrapped in Emma’s blanket), one for Duncan (the girls hair-bow box with a Mr. Potato Head inside), and one for Emma (a bunch of random toys in an old gift bag). I heard them say, “Merry Christmas!” “It’s just want I wanted!” “How did you know?!”
Somehow between checking on the kids last night and actually going to bed myself, I had forgotten that when I went in the girl’s room last night…I discovered their pink Christmas tree all decked out in bows and ponytail holders…with three “presents” nestled underneath. Christmas might be in two days but our kids are just practicing ;)

Boys and Girls
When the girls don’t feel well, they’re painfully sweet and gentle. Whispering to me and sweetly asking for water. It absolutely breaks my heart.
Now, when Duncan doesn’t feel good…he’s demanding and down right ornery. For example…when the kid’s new gloves came today this is what Duncan said to me, “Okay Mommy, I’m ready to play in the snow!” When I explained to him that just because he had gloves on it didn’t mean that it was snowing. He then demanded, “Mommy! Get the snow now for me!” He also wanted to sit in every chair that I was sitting in and when I’d move to another one he’d follow me and pitch a fit till I got out of it. I know he felt terrible but my goodness! ! He also asked for pumpkin bread and when I was getting him a piece he said, “Mommy, get one for me…get three for me…Mommy, give me all of it!” He then proceeded to pitch a fit when I didn’t give him the remaining half of the pan…Thankfully Kellan’s still a baby so he gets all cuddly :)
Maybe it’s a guy thing? ;)

Today is Duncan’s Birthday!
Duncan continues to delight and surprise us everyday :) You never quite know what’s going to come out of his mouth ;) He’s still very much into Thomas the Train and swords…lots of swords and lots of trains.
I’ll never forget how excited Dan and I both were when we found out that number three was on the way…I jumped on the bed (probably not the best idea) and giggled while showing Dan the positive test. Three months later, we were both ecstatic to find out that Duncan Micheal was indeed coming :) He’s truly a joy and occasionally a challenge...it’s been a wonderful three years!
Happy Third Birthday My Little Love!
